Choosing the Right Energizer
The energizer is the heart of your electric fence system. Selecting the right one depends on several factors:
- Fence length – Longer fences require more joules
- Vegetation contact – Weeds drain power; choose higher output if vegetation is common
- Animal type – Cattle and wildlife need more power than horses or sheep
- Power source – AC for permanent fences, solar/battery for remote locations
